Blog #2 - Update & Changes

Hey, guys.

I thought I'd give you an update. It's been a little while and there's been a few changes. Before I get straight into those, I'd actually like to talk a little bit about the voting process and subscription in general.

With voting, I've had some people say, “Hey, I've got some questions before I would like to put my vote through, and I'd actually like to know maybe what some of the other subscribers are thinking in terms their questions.”

I would love to have a discussion board for you guys, but there isn't one yet. If that's something that people want, then I'll work on it. In the meantime, just go ahead and send your questions through. For those of you who have just been thinking them quietly in the background, there's no rule against contacting me. Please contact me. Let me know your questions, and I'll go ahead and post the best ones, maybe in the appropriate storyline. I'd recognize that's maybe double handling, but I don't care. If you guys are enjoying it, and if you guys are it's helping start some discussions and get you guys thinking about what to do next and where you'd like the story to go, then for me, that's reason enough.

I have no expectations on my subscribers that you guys would be voting every single chapter. Life happens, and I totally get that. I want this to be like any other book, where you can put it down, go do other things, come back to it when you have the inclination or the time.

And with that, that leads us into some new features because books, physical books, have always had, to me, a major, major advantage over digital books in that you can literally use another book as the bookmark. You can use nothing at all. You can open it, put it down, and it will still be on that page when you get back to it unless your significant other child, parent, whatever, just cleaned it up and moved it. But otherwise, it's still going to be there. I have created a bookmark functionality. ChatGPT and I sat down and had a… chat… and we worked out some code. That's available for subscribers. It's not there for new visitors because the first chapter of every storyline is free now for the visitors, so you don't need a bookmark. If you have read the chapter, you're up to two, and that's as much as we need to go.

There's been a huge overhaul across the site, visually, as well as the direction that people get funneled. So please have a look. It's pretty cool.

Audio chapters on catching up. In fact, I'm about to go do about four more right now, so I'm going to go do that.

I hope you guys are enjoying the titles. Go Shape Some Stories.
