Children’s Bible Stories

Jesus said we need to come to Him like little children would. Which means they can.

This project is NOT part of the Weekly Fiction.

Still, they will be for sale when they’re ready.

Under construction

Christianity should be about a relationship with God.

One of my friends put it like this:

“If I said to you, ‘Hey Marcus. I’m going to lock you in a room for a really long time where you have to sing slow, boring songs to a shiny giant,’ then you’d hate it, right?

But if I said, ‘Hey Marcus. I’m going to put you in a room with someone you really like and who you get along with really well, and I’m going to leave you there for a really long time,’ well how would you feel then?”

Like many people, I grew up with the wrong idea of heaven. My prediction was more in line with the shiny giant image. It wasn’t until years later that I realized God doesn’t want servants. He wants sons and daughters. He wants a great relationship with His kids. As a father, that’s certainly what I want.

My wife and I are considering how to introduce our child to God. We don’t hide our prayer or our time with God, but at the time of this writing, our baby is turning 1 in just under two weeks. Kids that age need things explained.

And they love stories.

There are some great kids resources out there. I remember being around 12 or 13 years old when I got a Picture Bible, and I devoured it. There’s probably a lot of stuff out there for really little kids, too, but looking for it felt like more effort than making it myself.

I have some fun ideas for the design of these books, and I’m currently talking to my first choice of artists for the project. Like all my “In the Works” projects, you’ll have to wait for my blog updates to hear about any further progress.
